Citation-Ware

Citation-Ware is a concept I developed for the distribution of software
that is of interest to researchers. Rather than the request for money
that Shareware presents, or the complete abandonment of any gain that Freeware
represents, Citation-Ware is software that requests payment in the standard
coin of scientific research: a citation in the references section of publications
that result or benefit from its use.
Citation-Ware makes available the tools that researchers need
without an outlay of too-limited funds. It furthers scientific progress
by cooperation between the software author and the interested researcher.
My current offering under Citation-Ware is ERIS,
the Event Recorder Information System.
